For men, Phil's Peekskill Barber offers a range of both traditional and modern barbering services. Our services include haircuts, hot towel shaves and beard trims. We finish every haircut with a straight-edge razor neck shave. We also offer FREE neck shapeups and cleanups for regular clients between haircuts.
Kids love our gentle manner, and our barber car reduces stress and makes every haircut enjoyable. If your child has sensory issues, autism or other issues that make getting a haircut a trauma, our staff are trained to make every child look and feel great.
Women are especially welcome at Dinkum Hair. Unlike other salons that charge more for women, our gender-neutral policy ensures that females never pay more than men--regardless of the service.

We first brought my son here when he was a toddler with sensory issues and taking him to the salon to get haircuts was a problem. My son’s now way past that stage and we’re still coming back here for haircuts, even though there are many places closer to home that would be more convenient for us to get to. Mark is great with kids… his demeanor quickly sets them at ease. The haircuts are consistently good, and it’s always a pleasure spending time with Mark in his cozy barber shop.

Prior to coming here, I had been searching for a good kids cut in Westchester. I tried 3 kids-specific salons and 2 unisex salons over the past 3 years and they always did a disappointing job (e.g. cutting my daughter’s thick, straight hair across the bottom or making my son’s hair look diy 😬). I thought I’d give this place a try and was pretty happy with the experience. Mark showed my normally apprehensive toddler his tools, had him turn on the buzzer, squirt the water sprayer, etc… Mark also actually took the time to cut my daughter’s hair properly (in layers). Both of my kids enjoyed their haircuts which is kind of a weird thing to say, right?
